It’s not too late to make time for your self-care…
Antioxidant Facial Special
plus a FREE Antioxidant Treatment for your chest
$105 regularly priced $125
Ever think that your chest and face don’t match? That’s because the skin on your chest is just as exposed as the skin on your face, moreso in the warmer summer months. Start treating them the same and you’ll notice an improvement.
Replenishing our skin with antioxidants is a good strategy to enhance its health. Our antioxidant reservoir is depleted naturally as we age and with repeated exposure to UV radiation. Lucky for us, protecting against damage from the sun is the number one preventable cause of premature aging and wrinkles.
Antioxidants provide protection from free radical effects of the sun’s damaging rays. Remember, a tan is a form of a scar. Your risk of melanoma and skin cancer increases with each tan. Antioxidants, such as Vitamins A & C, provide protection from free radical effects of the sun’s damaging rays.
Your skins’ antioxidant reserve is the first line of defense against environmental challenges and oxidative stress, so make sure you cover all your bases. Fruits and vegetables, especially the orange- colored ones, act as edible sunscreens so eat up.
If that hasn’t left you convinced you need to get in soon for this restorative treatment, here are some other important details you should commit to memory:
Sun Protection Myths vs. Truths by Environ Skincare
A high SPF number means you are protected for many hours.
As long as you can block the UVB rays which cause burning, you are safe.
Sunscreen provides adequate protection on its own.
Topical Vitamin A should not be in a sun protection formula.
All sun protectors need to be reapplied every 90 minutes. High SPF numbers lead to a false sense of security. An SPF 50 provides less than 2% more protection than a SPF 25-30, which provides 97-98% protection against UVB rays.
You need broad-spectrum sun protectors that block both UVA and UVB rays.
You must take additional measures to protect yourself: hats, lip balm and clothing with UPF.
Ester (fat-soluble) forms of topical Vitamin A and C are safe and actually sun protective.
See you in the studio soon to rebalance and restore your beautiful skin.
